Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Mailman ("Mailman," "we," "us") provides a mail-merge add-on for Google Sheets, available at hellomailman.com. This policy explains what information Mailman collects and how it is used, including how we handle Google user data accessed through Google Workspace APIs.

Short version: we only store what we need to run billing, referrals, and the add-on. We do not sell user data. We do not request access to read your Gmail inbox. Product help (pricing, docs) lives in the Mailman sidebar in Google Sheets. There is no separate website login.

2. Information we collect

• Google account email — used to associate your Sheets add-on use with a Stripe subscription and referral code.
• Spreadsheet data you choose to send — column values used as placeholders when you run a mail merge. That data is read in the add-on to compose and send email via Gmail as you; it is not stored on our servers as a campaign archive.
• Templates — saved in Google User Properties on your account, plus Google Docs and attachments Mailman creates in your Drive folder named Mailman. Not stored in our database.
• Billing data — processed by Stripe. We store Stripe customer/subscription ids and status needed to apply referral discounts and show account status in the sidebar.
• Referral attribution — if you arrive with ?ref=CODE, we record who referred you so the referrer can receive credit after you become an active paying subscriber.

3. How we use information

We use this information to provide mail merge, billing (including Gmail / Workspace plans, a 7-day trial, rolling 24-hour send counts, and referral discounts), support, and to improve reliability. We do not sell personal data or use Google user data for advertising.

4. OAuth scopes

The add-on requests scopes to show its sidebar, read only the spreadsheet where it is installed, send email as you, create and use files in an app-created Drive folder named Mailman (not all of your Drive or Docs), and call hellomailman.com for billing status. We do not request access to read your Gmail mailbox.

5. Limited Use

Mailman's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Third parties

Stripe processes payments. Scaleway may send transactional email for support alerts (for example Marketplace review verification). Cloudflare Turnstile protects the contact form.
